A wide range of attitudes toward same-gender sexual expression exists in various cultures. There is wide variation in attitudes toward homosexuality and same-gender behavior. No matter how a particular society views homosexuality, the behavior always occurs in at least some individuals. Same-gender sexual behavior is never the predominant form of sexual behavior for adults in any of the societies studied. Sexual identity as an unvarying, lifelong characteristic of the self is unknown or rare in some cultures. Standards of attractivenessIn all human societies physical characteristics are important in determining whom one chooses as a sex partner. What is considered attractive varies considerably.The book discusses the different types of human sexual behavior. Chapters discuss sex equality, child sex trafficking, sexual harassment, sexual oppression, sexual and gender-based crimes, and sexual practices in the context of COVID-19.

COVID-19 reminded us of the fragility of human beings once humankind had felt they had mastered health, weather, and natural conditions in the world. For many generations, there was no memory of any pandemic close to our lived experience. During the pandemic, I was waiting to start the interviews for my research on Gay Latino immigrant men in Ontario, Canada. Because of COVID, my advisory committee accepted adding three questions about COVID to be analyzed along with the semi-structured questionnaire focused on sexual health practices among Latino immigrants in interracial sexual/romantic relationships. The findings result in the understanding of the role of sex on Gay Latino men and the strategies they developed to somehow deal with the lockdowns, social distancing, the risk of getting infected with COVID-19, and simultaneously satisfy their sexual and romantic needs.

Latar Belakang: Covid-19 merupakan penyakit yang dapat menyebabkan infeksi pernafasan pada manusia, sifat dari virus ini adalah menular melalui media droplets. Virus ini menyebar dengan waktu yang sangat singkat hingga seluruh belahan Dunia, hingga WHO menetapkan covid-19 sebagai pandemi Dunia. Hal ini mengakibatkan adanya lonjakan pasien yang signifikan, sehingga rumah sakit sebagai salah satu penyedia pelayanan kesehatan mengalami keterbatasan kapasitas dan kewalahan. Tujuan: Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan instrumen rapid hospital readiness for covid-19 yang direkomendasikan oleh WHO untuk mengantisipasi keterbatasan kapasitas dan kewalahan yang dihadapi oleh sebagian rumah sakit dalam menghadapi pandemi. Metode: Penulis melakukan tinjauan pustaka dengan metode systematic review terhadap artikel yang dipublikasikan menggunakan scopus, science direct, google scholar, JSTOR, Nature dan Emerlad Insight. Berdasarkan PRISMA flowchart dan setelah tinjauan manual hanya 16 penelitian yang sesuai dan diidentifikasi. Hasil: Dengan mengimplementasikan instrumen rapid hospital readiness for covid-19 maka rumah sakit dapat menggunakan hasil penilaian komprehensif praktek checklist sebagai pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan fungsi rumah sakit selama pandemi, dengan latihan daftar periksa yang teratur dan implementasi akan membentuk ketahanan rumah sakit dalam mengahadapi pandemi. Kesimpulan: Instrumen tersebut dapat membantu rumah sakit dalam mengidentifikasi kekurangan pelayanannya, seperti kesiapan ruang rawat inap untuk pasien covid-19, kelengkapan sarana dan prasarana pelayanan covid-19, penanggulangan risiko penularan covid-19 untuk keselamatan staf, pasien dan pengunjung. Rumah sakit dapat menggunakan hasil penilaian komprehensif praktek checklist sebagai pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan fungsi rumah sakit selama pandemi.
