Abstract:The Cover Feature shows the first instance of an autocatalytic phenylpropene alkene isomerization mediated by a nickel phosphite homogeneous catalyst. We have model kinetic data to give a strong statistical fit for a sigmoidal reaction curve, indicative of an autocatalytic reaction. We further investigate the detrimental effect of ligand loss during catalyst activation and how this can be circumvented by the addition of a phosphite scavenger, thus vastly improving the kinetics of this alkene isomerization reac… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
