Cover Feature: Meet the Cerium(IV) Phosphate Sisters: CeIV(OH)PO4 and CeIV2O(PO4)2 (Chem. Eur. J. 53/2020)

Abstract: Two previously unknown cerium(IV) phosphates, cerium(IV) hydroxidophosphate, Ce(OH)PO4, and cerium(IV) oxidophosphate, Ce2O(PO4)2, have been discovered. These sister compounds with similar structures belong to a very limited family of ceric salts and complement the classes of isostructural M(OH)PO4 and R2O(PO4)2 (M=Th, U and R=Th, U, Np, Zr). More information can be found in the Full Paper by V. K. Ivanov et al. on page 12188.
