Coupling and uncoupling of midline morphogenesis and cell flow in amniote gastrulation

Abstract: Large-scale cell flow characterizes gastrulation in animal development. In amniote gastrulation, a bilateral vortex-like counter-rotating cell flow, called polonaise movements, appears along the midline.
