Cost optimal design of micro hydel systems

Abstract: Micro hydel systems are turning out to be an important choice for power generation as a renewable energy source, considering the hydel resource available in India. Reports from Ministry for New Renewable Energy (MNRE) states that the estimated potential for power generation in India from hydel plants is about 15,000 MW from 5718 identifi ed sites.
