Paint sludge generated in the manufacture of wind towers during painting and other coating works results in the emission of hazardous waste that is difficult to manage and whose final treatment usually ends up in landfill or incineration. In most cases, epoxy resin paint is used for this work. These resins are polymeric materials with very good adhesion and chemical resistance properties that have been increasingly studied to improve the performance of asphalt mixtures. In this work, the different applications and research currently proposed for the reuse of this waste are analysed and the possibility of incorporating them as a substitute additive for bitumen used in road pavement construction is studied
