Cosmological information in the redshift-space bispectrum

Abstract: We use the Fisher-matrix formalism to investigate whether the galaxy bispectrum in redshift space, B, contains additional cosmological information with respect to the power spectrum, P. We focus on a Euclid -like survey and consider cosmological models dominated by dark energy and cold dark matter with Gaussian primordial perturbations. After discussing the phenomenology of redshift-space distortions for the bispectrum, we derive an expression for the cross-covariance between B and P at leading order in pertur… Show more

“…Using (3.6) and (3.1)-(3.4), we confirm that the analytical form (3.5) for n g recovers the points from Table 1 in [4]. By (1.15): the magnification bias follows as Finally, we need to deal with the luminosity derivative of the bias in (1.13).…”

“…The effect of RSD on these scales is to damp the power -the 'FoG' effect. In order to take account of this, we follow [3,4] and use the simple model of FoG damping,…”

“…[34] has shown that the combination of the one-loop power spectrum and tree-level bispectrum monopole can lead to better constraints than the best case power spectrum analysis with the optimally reconstructed BAO wiggles. One may expect even more benefit from addition of the higher multipole moments of the bispectrum [74]. cosmological parameters using the same BOSS data, (b) The full-shape power spectrum data will supersede the BAO measurements in the era of future galaxy surveys, even for in the case of ideal BAO reconstruction.…”
