Cortinarius (Pers.) Gray samples were collected in the oak forests from Tokat province. Aim of the study: The purpose of this study was to determine the macrofungal diversity of Yuvacık Basin (Kocaeli) and its close environs.Study area: The study area is situated in the east part of Marmara region within the boundaries of Kocaeli and Sakarya provinces of Turkey and it covers 25.759 hectares. The altitude range of region is 150-1610 meters. In addition, the region is in the transition zones of the three different phytogeographic regions containing the Euro-Siberian, the Mediterranean and Irano-Turanian Material and Method: The fungal samples were collected from different localities of Yuvacık Basin and its close environs between 2015 and 2017. During field studies, macroscopic and ecological features of the samples were recorded and they were photographed in their natural habitats and then brought to the labratory. In the labaratory, macroscopic and microscopic characteristics of the samples were examined. After obtaining relevant macroscopic and microscopic data, fungal samples were identified. The identified samples were kept at the herbarium of Ankara University (ANK).Main Results: As a result of field and laboratory studies, a total of 140 species belonging to 44 family and 14 order within the 2 divisions were listed. Among them, 13 species belonged to Ascomycota, 127 to Basidiomycota.Research highlights: In this study, macrofungal diversity of Yuvacık Basin and its close environs were determined. One hundred and thirty-nine species were new for the region. Moreover, edible and poisonous macrofungi species were emphasized.

Cortinarius atroalbus M.M.Moser ve C. duracinobtusus Rob. Henry'nin (Basidiomycota, Cortinariaceae) Türkiye'deki varlığı Abstract: Basidiomata were collected during the field trips in 2012 and 2015 from Trabzon, Turkey and identified based on morphological data. As a result, Cortinarius atroalbus M. M. Moser and C. duracinobtusus Rob. Henry are recorded for the first time from Turkey and provided here with descriptions, figures and a short discussion. C. atroalbus has a conical, convex to applanate and umbonate; dark chestnut brown to blackish brown, hygrophanous pileus; adnate to nearly arcuate, pale brown to rusty brown crowded lamellae; cylindrical, slightly curved, silvery whitish to very pale brown stipe and ellipsoid, slightly verrucose basidiospores. C. duracinobtusus has a conical to campanulate with a typically broad and umbonate, brown, dark yellow to brown pileus; sub-decurrent to adnate, sparse, dark yellow to orange brown, smooth, moderately thick and regular lamellae; cylindrical, generally curved, sometimes hollow, orange brown to dark yellowish stipe and ellipsoid, slightly verrucose and granulate basidiospores.

Cortinarius caperatus (Pers.) Fr., A New Record For Turkish Mycobita

Abstract: In this study, Cortinarius caperatus (Pers.) Fr. belonging to the family Cortinariaceae was recorded for the first time from Turkey. A short description, ecology, distribution and photographs related to macro and micromorphologies of the species are provided and discussed briefly.
