Recently studies indicated that Corticosterone was elevated in mice that received mild stress at a neurobiological level (Fuentes-Verdugo et al, 2020), and others showed that Corticosterone impairs the recall of strong contextual fear memory after reactivation in the ovariectomized rat model of menopause (Kashefi et al, 2020).
