Corticosteroids in tuberculous pericarditis whit severe pericardial effusion to avoid constriction: a retrospective study in HIV-negative population

Abstract: The role of corticosteroids in the treatment of tuberculous aetiology pericarditis without human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is not well defined. Is unclear if associating corticoids to regular antibiotic therapy for tuberculosis, can prevent the progression of a severe pericardial effusion to constrictive pericarditis.
