Corrosion of 1.4016 Ferritic Steel by Urea at High Temperature

Abstract: The corrosion behavior of a ferritic unstabilized stainless steel 1.4016 during decomposition of aqueous urea solution at high temperature has been investigated. Corrosion was obtained from 100 h of cyclic heating (from room temperature up to 600 °C) and injection of aqueous urea solution on the steel plate in a laboratory-scale test bench.
