Corrosion Inhibition of Mild Steel by 4-Allyl-5-pyridin-4-yl-4H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thiol

Abstract: 4-Allyl-5-pyridin-4-yl-4H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thiol has been synthesized and characterized by IR, 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR analysis. The corrosion protection of mild steel in a 0.1 M H 2 SO 4 solution by 4-allyl-5-pyridin-4-yl-4H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thiol was studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
