Corrosion inhibition of aluminum with a 3‐(10‐sodium sulfonate decyloxy) aniline monomeric surfactant and its analog polymer in a 0.5M hydrochloric acid solution

Abstract: ABSTRACT:The inhibitory effect of a 3-(10-sodium sulfonate decyloxy) aniline monomeric surfactant and the analog polymeric surfactant poly[3-(decyloxy sulfonic acid) aniline] (PC 10 ) on the corrosion of aluminum in 0.5M hydrochloric acid was studied with weight loss and potentiodynamic polarization techniques.
