Diphenolic acid/furfurylamine‐based bio‐benzoxazine (DPA‐fa‐Boz) was selected here as the starting material to prepare a phenol hydroxyl‐containing polyamide (PA) derivative, PA‐DFB, via sustainable benzoxazine‐isocyanide mechanochemistry (BIC‐MC). Further, a type of PA/phosphazene‐based, organic–inorganic covalent hybrid (PD‐HCCP), which comprises various N/P/O‐containing substructures (NP ring, amide, carboxylic acid, and tertiary amine), was successfully prepared by the condensation between PA‐DFB and hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene (HCCP). The presence of heteroatoms‐containing segments endows PD‐HCCP with specific affinity for some cationic agents. PD‐HCCP's binding capability for Pb(II) can be feasibly utilized for the detection of this heavy metal. The downstream application investigation of PD‐HCCP revealed that it can be used as an enrichment‐type Pb(II) electrochemical probe, characterizing a wide detection range (1–40 μM) and a low detection limit (0.0245 μM). Meanwhile, PD‐HCCP also showed the selective binding for cationic dye, methylene blue (MB), providing a maximum adsorption capacity of ~424.97 mg/g and a high adsorption rate (with 98% removal efficiency at 6 min), with the pseudo‐second‐order rate constant up to 0.0325 g mg−1 min−1.

In this work, we study the efficiency of N1, N3-dibenzyl-N1, N1, N3, N3-tetramethylpropane-1,3-diaminium chloride, as anticorrosion. This compound exhibits potential as a prospective remedy to stop the deterioration of carbon steel caused by corrosion in 1.0 M HCl. The synthesis of this compound is described in a comprehensive manner, and its composition is supported by a range of precise analytical approaches such as elemental analysis, and mass spectroscopy. Based on the findings of the investigation, the synthesized Gemini ionic liquid demonstrates a robust capacity to slow down the rate at which the metal corrodes. The Prepared compound was evaluation by electrochemical and morphology study. Our results revealed that elevating the inhibitor concentration led to an augmentation in inhibition effectiveness, reaching up to 94.8% at 200 ppm of the synthesized compound at 298 K. It is crucial to emphasize that the recently prepared Gemini ionic liquid is consistent with the Langmuir adsorption model and function as a mixed inhibitor, participating in the physio-chemisorption process of adsorption.

The present study reports the synthesis and characterization of two new halogenated Schiff base copper (II) derivatives, namely [CuII2(3‐Cl‐Salmphen)2] (Cu‐Cl‐Salmphen) and [CuII2(3‐Br‐Salmphen)2] (Cu‐Br‐Salmphen), which were characterized by UV–Vis, FT‐IR, 1H‐NMR, and 13C‐NMR spectroscopy. Single crystal structural analysis revealed that each complex contains two crystallography independent, distorted copper centers, where each Cu center exhibits the same coordination environment with N2O2 donor atoms from two different ligands. To investigate the substitution effect of halogen atoms on the properties of the complexes, the non‐halogenated isomer [CuII2(H‐Salmphen)2] (Cu‐H‐Salmphen) was introduced for comparison. The differences between the halogenated and the non‐halogenated analogues were compared through spectroscopic, electrochemical, DFT, and TD‐DFT theoretical calculations. The optical experimental results indicated that the introduction of halogen atoms decreased the energy gap between the ground and excited states, leading to enhanced optical absorption capabilities of the compounds. Electrochemical tests showed that the halogenated analogues exhibited better electrochemical performance, and with the increase in an atomic number of the halogen atoms, the compounds displayed a gradual increase in cyclic voltammetry peak areas, diffusion coefficients, and conductivities. Theoretical calculations revealed that the introduction of halogen atoms simultaneously expanded the conjugated area of the molecules, decreased the HOMO‐LUMO energy levels of the complexes, and strengthened the intramolecular interactions. Furthermore, the potential mechanism of the tuning effect of halogen atoms on the charge transfer process was proposed.
