Composites containing metal at least in two constituent parts are metal matrix composites. Another material may also be used like organic compounds or ceramics, in addition to a different metal. In the current work Al5056 aluminium powder is used as the matrix material having an average particle size was about 35±5 μm and Carbon Nanotube (CNT) and Graphene (Gr) are used as reinforcement materials. Hybrid composites are developed using an advanced powder metallurgy technique process. Also, in the existing work microstructure characterization was performed using advanced techniques. Hardness, Tensile and wear tests are conducted as per ASTM standards. Mechanical properties improved with the increase in amalgams in the matrix. The wear surface morphology of Al alloy shows a rough surface with more grooves and ridges compared to the wear surface morphology of Al5056/CNT-Gr hybrid composites. Wear debris results of Al alloy show more debris chips out of the material compared to Al5056/CNT-Gr hybrid composites.

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and graphene, in particular, have been the subject of many recent studies since their discovery in the early 2000s. Because of their unusual properties, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have piqued the interest of scientists across a wide range of disciplines. An Al matrix was reinforced with powder metallurgy-fabricated B4C and CNT composites. The nanocomposite aluminium matrix was examined for tribological behaviour, density, stiffness, and compressive strength before and after hot isostatic pressing (HIP). Scanning electron microscopy and TEM were used to analyze the carbon nanotubes and their hybrid counterparts (SEM). The density of nanocomposites was reduced by 38% without HIP but by 45% after it was added to the mixture. Hardness was also increased by 40%, but following HIP, the hardness rose to 67%. Before and after HIP, the compression strength increased by 39% and 60%, respectively. HIP improves the wear rate by 45%, and B4C and CNTs improve the coefficient of friction by 20% in all volume fractions but only by 48% in the case of nanocomposites.

Bamboo is an ancient structural material used for a variety of applications in India. Bamboo is widely used in the global south for frames, bridges, housing, and transitory structures. Bamboo supply has been effectively inexpensive as well as plentiful in global south countries to meet the widespread need for affordable housing. The current research focuses on the mechanical properties of bamboo fibre reinforced polymer composite materials for use in structural industries. Moreover, a bamboo fibre reinforced composite was compared to glass fibre in a variety of ways, and it was discovered that the bamboo fibre composite outperformed the glass fibre in a few areas. Investigations revealed the potential use of bamboo fibre reinforced composite with good stiffness but a lower strength limitation than glass fibre composite. Tensile strength of 40.53 MPa and hardness value of 68.2 RHN were achieved by E-glass epoxy composites. However, the results of bamboo fibre reinforced composites cannot be overlooked. Further research was conducted to improve the mechanical properties, and the results were satisfactory.
