“…The field of clinical practice and thyroid diseases has been shattered in 2021 by an unprecedented action taken by the Endocrine Society. On 26 February 2021, i.e., fourteen years after the publication by Abalovich, Amino, Barbour, Cobin, De Groot, Glinoer, Mandel, and Stagnaro-Green (PMID 17948378), the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism has retired the guideline [ 5 ].
