Kawasan industri di tepi air bertujuan meningkatkan perekonomian kota dengan pendekatan keekonomian di area tepi air. Perubahan tersebut memiliki dampak pencemaran lingkungan, sengketa kepemilikan lahan, keterbatasan akses masyarakat terhadap tepi pantai dan perubahan sosial masyarakat. Saat ini keberlanjutan kawasan industri ditepi air belum mampu dinilai dan diukur berdasarkan indeks keberlanjutan yang sudah ada. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk merumuskan indikator indeks kawasan industri tepi air yang mampu mengukur keberlanjutan kawasan industri di tepi air dari pilar utama aspek keberlanjutan yaitu sosial, ekonomi dan lingkungan. Penelitian dimulai dengan mengkaji indeks yang ada untuk menilai keberlanjutan, kemudian mengevaluasi indeks tersebut dengan pemilihan kriteria aspek ekonomi, sosial dan lingkungan, dilanjutkan dengan metode analisis Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) dan expert choice dari data primer kuesioner para ahli perkotaan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah rumusan indeks keberlanjutan IKKITA yang terdiri dari sembilan indikator dan bobot penilaian dari tiga aspek pilar utama keberlanjutan aspek sosial; koefisine GINI (0.326), ketersediaan sumber air PDAM (0.260), tingkat penggangguran setiap tahun dari Angkatan kerja (0.171), kemudian pada aspek ekonomi; kerapatan bangunan permukiman (0.257), taraf kehidupan hunian (0.205), ketersedaiaan transportasi publik (0.183), dan pada aspek lingkungan; ketersediaan konservasi air (0.269), rata rata ruang terbuka hijau (0.227), jarak dari lingkungan sensitive atau hutan lindung (0.159).

In recent years, the Sponge City program (SCP) of China, as a sustainable stormwater management approach, has been strengthened as a national strategic level program. The Green Infrastructure (GI), due to its multi-objective and multi-benefits, has been adopted as an important measure of this new nationwide initiative. However, there is a lack of a comprehensive quantitative evaluation system for neighbourhood scale SCP. Hence, in the process of GI plan optimization, selection of implementation methods to balance its multi-benefits has become one of the key obstacles in the practice of SCP. To support robust decision making on multi-objective GI planning and comprehensive assessment, the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) has been used as a structural and systematic technique. In addition, a set of sustainability key performance indicators (KPIs) including requisite dimensions is the foundation for neighbourhood scale sustainability. Hence, AHP-based evaluation system including selection, weighting and ranking of the KPIs, is defined as a key performance indicator framework (KPIF), which is still in need for further development. Taking the GI planning for the Liangnong, Siming Lake sponge node restoration as an example, this paper develops KPIF with a comprehensive evaluation system for high-quality "Sponge Node" transitional construction. Contributions of Urban Collective Gardens to Local Sustainability in Mexico City

Urban collective gardens (UCG) are considered alternatives to face the environmental problems generated by urbanization, contributing to the sustainability of cities. This study aims to characterize UCG and its contributions to the local sustainability in Mexico City (CdMx). From bibliographic searches, consultation on social networks, and expert suggestions, our research group identified 40 gardens for CdMx, based on which we constructed a UCG typology. For deeper studies, we selected 19 UCGs based on several criteria: Number of members (at least three persons managing UCG), UCG age (at least one year), disposition of collaborating in the study, and availability for evaluation. The selected UCGs were evaluated qualitatively following the Framework for the Evaluation of Natural Resource Management Systems incorporating Sustainability Indicators (MESMIS, for its acronym in Spanish) through in-depth interviews and participant observation. We identified critical points or factors that drive or limit UCG (e.g., biological diversity, training of people participating, social and economic stability, access to space and financial support, economic diversification, input dependency, security of land tenure, and contamination risk). We concluded that UCG of CdMX contribute to local sustainability through processes like creating jobs, recovering connections with nature, knowledge transmission, experimental practices, and offers of therapeutic benefits, among others.
