Corrigendum

Abstract: After the publication of the article, the authors noted that they had made the following errors. In Fig. 5B, total PDK1 is incorrect in the published paper. The corrected version of Fig. 5B is shown below. Also in Fig. 6B, the DMSO-treated group and the brassinin (400 µM)-treated group are incorrect, and the corrected Fig. 6B is shown below. The corrected figures demonstrate the same findings as the original figures. These corrections do not alter the interpretation of the results and conclusions. [the origina… Show more

“…Brassinin has been reported to induce G1 phase arrest through the increase of p21 and p27 by inhibition of the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase signaling pathway in colorectal cancer cells [67]. The latest data suggests possible brassinin interference with the PI3K/Akt/mTOR/S6K1 signaling pathway [68].…”

“…These changes are attributed to the effects of Cx43 on the expression of loci that regulate the cell cycle [6,7]. For example, the expression levels of cell cycle-related proteins are reduced and the relative levels of cell cycle inhibitors (e.g., p21 and p27) are increased [8]. Some studies have shown that Cx43 plays an important role in the regulation of these genes [9].…”
