Correlative growth in vegetable plants.

Abstract: This chapter covers the interaction of plant parts above- and below-ground, followed by relations among vegetative and reproductive plant parts aboveground. Throughout, although examples will be taken from all over the plant kingdom, the emphasis will be on processes and mechanisms that may help improve productivity of vegetable crops.
