Correlations between Endoscopic and Histopathological Assessment of Helicobacter pylori-Induced Gastric Pathology—A Cross-Sectional Retrospective Study

Abstract: Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infects about half of the world’s population and can lead to premalignant lesions and gastric cancer. Updated data about the correlation of histopathological diagnostics with endoscopic diagnostics are scarce. The objective of this study was to identify the concordance between endoscopic and histopathologic findings, with a focus on premalignant lesions. “…Коротковолновой свет увеличивает визуализацию контрастных участков на поверхности желудка за счёт его лучшего распространения. С развитием хромоэндоскопии и цифровой хромоэндоскопии были выявлены новые диагностические возможности и сформулирована эндоскопическая классификация желудочно-кишечной метаплазии (EGGIM) [45,46].…”

“…In Romania, the last data showed over 68,000 deaths due to COVID-19 from the beginning of the pandemic until the end of December 2022, with the total number of deaths being above 67,000. When COVID-19 infection coexists with pre-existing comorbidities such as hypertension, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, malignancy, or immune-related disorders, the associated mortality rate tends to be higher [2][3][4].…”
