Correlation of Surgical Site Infection (SSI) after appendicectomy with per-operative morphological appearance of appendix.

Abstract: Acute appendicitis is the most common cause of emergency abdominal surgery worldwide. Postoperatively, surgical site infection (SSI) occurs in 3% to 60% of appendicectomized patients, depending on pathological state of appendix.
