“…Using Raman scattering, the distribution function of OH oscillators over frequencies that depict the changes in the number of structural nano-associates can be understood. 21,22 As the contour of the OH band is affected by the hydrogen bond, 21 special attention was devoted to estimating the vibrational frequencies of the OH groups. This analysis provides the quantitative contributions of the molecules with different strengths of hydrogen bonding into the OH stretching bands.…”

“…[15][16][17][18] Therefore, Raman spectroscopy allows us to understand hydrogen bonding in water and in aqueous solutions in general. [19][20][21] In this study, we established a correlation between the different states of hydrogen bonding of alcohol, which is a vehicle for homeopathic medicine, due to the effect of potentization and measured from Raman data, and the electrical measurement, which provides the ionic state of the liquid. We selected the two homeopathic medicines Chininum purum and Acidum benzoicum for such studies for a specific reason: the former is basic in nature, while the latter is acidic in nature.…”

“…Impurities released by containers or other contaminants affect the physicochemical variables of SDVSPL. However, analyses of SDVSPL prepared in glass or plastic vessels show that such impurities cannot account for their typical properties (Elia and Niccoli, 2004a&b;Witt et al, 2006;Ciavatta et al, 2008;Montagnier et al, 2009;Elia and Napoli, 2010;Upadhyay and Nayak, 2011;Demangeat, 2013Demangeat, , 2015Pershin et al 2015;Ryzhkina et al, 2015b;Yinnon and Liu, 2015b).…”

“…Duval et al (2012) showed that the Landau-Placzek ratio, i.e., the ratio of the Rayleigh scattering intensity over the total Brillouin intensity, for SDVSAS of LiCl and for SDVSAS of sodium chloride (NaCl) depends non-monotonically on these liquids' NDS. Pershin et al (2015Pershin et al ( , 2016 demonstrated that for SDVSAS of potassium phenosan, the following variables were all found to depend non-monotonically on this liquid's NDS: the frequency of the center of the Raman scattering OH vibration band of its H 2 O, the Rayleigh line width in its four-wave mixing spectra, its integrated elastic scattering profile of 527-nm laser pulses, its fluctuation of the elastic-scattering coefficient and its optical activity. Kozumi and Kitagawa (2016) demonstrated that the aquaporin permeability of serially diluted, vigorously shaken water kept for 24 h in contact with ceramics nonmonotonically changes with the NDS.…”

“…Such compounds and other contaminants affect the physicochemical variables of these liquids (Elia and Niccoli, 2004a&b). However, in depth analyses of such liquids prepared in glass or plastic vessels show that such compounds and contaminants alone cannot account for their typical properties (Elia and Niccoli, 2004a&b;Ciavatta et al, 2008;Montagnier et al, 2009;Elia and Napoli, 2010;Upadhyay and Nayak, 2011;Demangeat, 2009Demangeat, , 2010Pershin et al 2015;Yinnon and Liu, 2015a,b).…”
