Correlation of Ionic Imprinting Cavity Sites on the Amino-Silica Hybrid Adsorbent with Adsorption Rate and Capacity of Cd2+ Ion in Solution

Abstract: In this research, it has been evaluated concentration effect of Cd 2+ ion used as the Cd From the adsorption data obtained, they show that initial concentration differences of the imprinted Cd 2+ ion produce different adsorption models of the Cd 2+ ion. The bigger the Cd 2+ ionic imprinting fraction, the higher the adsorption rate (k 1 ) and capacity (q) of Cd 2+ ion on the adsorbent.

“…The hybridization process with Spirulina sp. algae biomass is reflected by the emergence of C-H absorption band characteristics from aliphatic (−CH 2 ) at 2931.8 cm − 1 [17]. This is confirmed by the loss of Si-O stretching vibration from Si-OH observed at 964.4 cm − 1 caused by the reduction of the silanol group due to condensation that occurs with the biomass of Spirulina sp.…”

“…The processing of CV and MB dyes waste has been carried out through several processes such as oxidation [11], coagulation and flocculation [12], adsorption [13,14] and ion exchange [15]. The adsorption process is one of the right ways to treat waste containing dyes and heavy metals before being discharged into the environment, because the adsorption method is simple, relatively inexpensive, and does not cause side products that are harmful to the environment [16,17]. The success of the adsorption process is largely determined by the suitability of the properties and types of adsorbents used.…”

“…Metode adsorpsi merupakan metode yang paling banyak digunakan karena memiliki efisiensi yang tinggi. Selain itu, adsorpsi juga memiliki keunggulan lainnya seperti biaya yang relatif murah, metode yang lebih sederhana, bersifat ramah lingkungan serta tidak adanya efek samping yang beracun (Buhani et al, 2017).…”

“…Among these methods, adsorption stands out for its simplicity, effectiveness, efficiency, and the potential for adsorbent regeneration [10]. It is an environmentally friendly approach, especially suitable for dyecontaining waste due to its cost-effectiveness and non-production of harmful by-products [11,12]. Adsorption efficacy largely depends on the nature and type of adsorbent used.…”
