“…In the study by Rafique et al [ 18 ], the prevalence of PD was found to be significantly higher in underweight (BMI < 18.5) female students aged 18-25 years compared to overweight students (BMI > 30 kg/cm3). Akunna et al [ 19 ] determined in their study that the severity of dysmenorrhea rose as the BMI of university students increased.
