Correlation Between Neutrofil-Limphocyte Ratio Before Chemoteraphy and Objective Response Platinum based Chemoteraphy on Lung Cancer Patient

Abstract: Background: Lung cancer is the leading cause of death from cancer. One type of cancer is non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The body fights against cancer cells by immune surveillance mechanisms involving the role of neutrophils and lymphocytes. Chemotherapy is a modality that is usually used as a therapy in patients’ NSCLC. To assess chemotherapy’s prognostic, research needs to be done to find the relationship between the neutrophil-lymphocytes ratio before chemotherapy with objective response after chemothe… Show more

“…12 Histological diagnosis lung adenocarcinoma was the most common diagnosis in this study, other studies have also shown that the most common type of histology is adenocarcinoma. 3,[12][13][14][15] The initial performance status of patients in this study, 31.3% was ECOG>2, which indicates that patients should receive general improvement management before receiving therapy for their cancer. This is different from the research in Jakarta which showed that performance status of most sample was ECOG 2, and there was no sample with ECOG>2, with most of the patient education being high school, while in this study the level of education mostly elementary school.…”
