In this paper, we analyzed the tendencies of plant production in the Republic of Serbia and at the level of the territorial units Serbia-North and Serbia-South (NUTS 1), for the period 2009-2018 through the indicators of the coverage of areas and an average yield of 28 plant crops. The aim of the paper is to point out the differences in the representation of areas under different types of crops and to indicate the degree of their agreement between the mentioned territorial units by Spearman's correlation coefficient. For the analysis of the observed indicators, the methods of descriptive statistics, as well as Spearman's correlation coefficient, were used. The data indicate that the Serbia-North region is dominated by areas under cereals, industrial crops, peas and peaches, while the Serbia-South region is covered by areas under fodder crops, vegetable crops (potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, onion, garlic, beans, cucumber, melons and watermelons) and perennial crops. The average yields of the observed crops differ significantly between the regions of Serbia-North and Serbia-South. Spearmen's correlation coefficient of the indicators of the coverage of areas indicated a high degree of stacking of areas under wheat and tobacco (0.927**), as well as areas under lucerne and clover with areas under fruit plantations. Also, a high degree of stacking of areas under maize and peas (0.798**) was established, but also between areas under sunflower and soya (0.891**). The goal of writing the chapter is to analyze the distribution of agricultural mechanization, which is the most common in the Republic of Serbia (single-axle tractors, two-axle tractors, universal combine harvesters). The purpose of this chapter is to analyze the used mechanization by regions and areas in Serbia during 2012 and 2018, as well as by the number of holdings at its disposal. Principal component analysis (PCA) was used in the research, and the results were presented both tabularly and graphically (loading plot and biplot). The results of the PCA method showed that the situation has not changed in the observed years when it comes to the distribution of mechanization by regions. The PCA method was also applied to mechanization that were used at the level of 25 areas in Serbia only in 2012 because the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia (SORS) does not have data for 2018. Based on the biplot presentation, the authors concluded the dominant representation of certain types of mechanization in certain regions and areas of Serbia.

Agricultural production is supported by the food industry allowing the placement of agricultural products with a higher processing phase achieve higher value of surplus of balance payments in this activity. The work structure can be analyzed in two parts. The first part considers the key specifics and problems of financing agriculture and food industry of Serbia (low contribution of agriculture in the creation of gross domestic product - GDP, small allocations for the agrarian budget, unfavorable agrarian loans with commercial banks, etc.). The second part of the article presents the structure of exports of agriculture and food industry of Serbia from 2011 to 2016. In the six-year period, cereals and cereal-based products, as well as fruits and vegetables, dominate the country's total exports. The average share of cereal exports in total exports of the country was around 5.5%, and fruit and vegetables about 5.2%.
