Background: Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) believes that central precocious puberty (CPP) is affected by the imbalance of kidney Yin and Yang. Dabuyin pill is a recipe for nourishing Yin and lowering fire. The network pharmacology method was used to analyze the active components, action targets, and molecular pathways of Dabuyin pill in the treatment of CPP. Methods: The main chemical components of Dabuyin pill were obtained from the Integrative database of Traditional Chinese Medicine enhanced by Symptom Mapping (SymMap) database and Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology (TCMSP), and compound targets were retrieved from SymMap and the Encyclopedia of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ETCM). Disease targets were retrieved from the DisGeNET and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases, and the intersection of compound targets and disease targets was performed to obtain the prediction targets of Dabuyin pill acting on CPP. The key targets enriched by Database for Annotation, Visualization, and Integrated Discovery (DAVID) were then used for Gene Ontology (GO) functional enrichment and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway analysis.Results: GO analysis showed that the biological functions of Dabuyin pill in the treatment of key targets of CPP mainly involved apoptosis, nitric oxide synthesis, estradiol response, angiogenesis, inflammation, and so on. KEGG pathway analysis was mainly enriched in the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) signaling pathway, phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase/protein kinase B (PI3K/Akt) signaling pathway, hypoxia-inducible factor-1 (HIF-1) signaling pathway, and apoptosis. Among them, the regulation effect of Dabuyin pill prescription on apoptosis may both act on TP53 and different signaling pathways of apoptosis, thus playing a synergistic role.Conclusions: Dabuyin pill combined with GnRHa for the prevention and treatment of CPP in girls can effectively intervene CPP, and the effect of Dabuyin pill on sex hormones is one of its protective mechanisms against CPP.

Background: Breast dynamic enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an important in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. However, it is unclear whether the characteristics of breast dynamic enhancement MRI-related parameters in young breast cancer patients are specific. The present study was to study the dynamic enhancement of MRI-related parameter characteristics and its correlation with clinical features in young breast cancer patients.Methods: A total of 196 breast cancer patients admitted to the People's Hospital of Zhaoyuan City from January 2017 to December 2017 were retrospectively collected, and the patients were divided into a young breast cancer group (n=56) and a control group (n=140) according to whether the patient age limit of <40 years old. All patients underwent breast dynamic enhanced MRI and were followed up for 5 years to observe whether there was recurrence or metastasis. We compared the differences of breast dynamic enhanced MRI-related parameters between the 2 groups, and then analyzed the correlation between breast dynamic enhancement MRI-related parameters and clinical features in young breast cancer patients.Results: Compared with the control group, the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) of the young breast cancer group was significantly reduced (0.84±0.13 vs. 0.93±0.14 ×10 −3 mm 2 /s, P<0.001); the proportion of patients with non-mass enhancement was significantly increased in the young breast cancer group (25.00% vs. 8.57%, P=0.002). The ADC was significantly positively correlated with age (r=0.226, P=0.001) and negatively correlated with the maximum diameter of the tumor (r=−0.199, P=0.005). The ADC was shown to be valuable in predicting the absence of lymph node metastasis in the young breast cancer patients, and the area under the curve (AUC) was 0.817 [95% confidence interval (CI): 0.702-0.932, P<0.001]. The ADC was shown to be valuable in predicting the absence of recurrence or metastasis in the young breast cancer patients, and the AUC was 0.784 (95% CI: 0.630-0.937, P=0.007). The rates of lymph node metastasis and recurrence at 5 years were significantly increased in young breast cancer patients with non-mass enhancement (P<0.05). Conclusions:The present study provides a reference for further evaluation of the characteristics of young breast cancer patients.

Background: The incidence of non-small cell lung cancer ranks second among malignant tumors, while the mortality rate ranks first. We established a prediction model for the long-term prognosis of lung cancer patients to accurately identify patients with a high risk of postoperative death and provide a theoretical basis for improving the prognosis of patients with non-small cell lung cancer. Methods:The data of 277 non-small cell lung cancer patients who underwent radical lung cancer resection at Shanghai Fengxian District Central Hospital between January 2016 and December 2017 were retrospectively collected. The patients, who were followed up for 5 years, were divided into a deceased group (n=127) and survival group (n=150) according to whether the patients had died 5 years after surgery or not. The clinical characteristics of the two groups were observed, and the risk factors of death within 5 years of surgery in lung cancer patients were analyzed. A nomogram predictive model was then established to analyze the value of the model in predicting the death within 5 years of surgery in patients with non-small cell lung cancer.Results: Multivariate logistics regression analysis showed that carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) >193.5 ng/mL, stage III lung cancer, peritumor invasion, and vascular tumor thrombus were independent risk factors of tumor-specific death after surgery in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (P<0.05). R 4.0.3 statistical software was used to randomly divide the dataset into a training set and validation set. The sample size of the training set was 194, and the sample size of the validation set was 83. The area under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was 0.850 [95% confidence interval (CI): 0.796-0.905] in the training set, and it was 0.779 (95% CI: 0.678-0.880) in the validation set. In the validation set, the model was assessed using the Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness-of-fit test, with a chi-square value of 9.270 and a P value of 0.320.Conclusions: Our model could accurately identify high risk of death within 5 years of surgery in nonsmall cell lung cancer patients. Strengthening the management of high-risk patients may help improve the prognosis of these patients.
