Corrections to the Bethe formula for average ionization energy loss of relativistic charged particles in solids. I. Mott's corrections
O. Voskresenskaya
Abstract:Based on the proposed representation of the Mott corrections ∆M to the Bethe stopping formula in the form of rapidly convergent series of quantities bilinear in the Mott partial amplitudes, the numerical calculations were performed for these corrections over the range of nuclear charge number 4 ≤ Z ≤ 92 of the incident particles at various values of their relative velocity β.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
