Correcting density/sonic logs for total organic carbon to reduce uncertainty in pore pressure prediction

Abstract: Pore pressure prediction in shales undergoing compaction, including both mechanical and chemical processes, is customarily related to the mechanism referred to disequilibrium compaction.
