Corpus Callosotomy with the CO<sub>2</sub> Laser Suction Device: A Technical Note

Abstract: Introduction: Patients with symptomatic generalized epilepsy who are not candidates for resections may be considered for corpus callosotomy. Methods: The two patients who were followed in this series underwent resection of the corpus callosum utilizing the OmniGuide CO2 Laser System. In 2015, Choudhri et al [13] described a similar technique to complete 8 callosotomies in 6 pediatric patients, resulting in either complete resolution or an improvement in the frequency of drop attacks in all patients; no complications were noted in this study.…”
