Abstract: Objective-Ischemic heart disease mortality is lower in hemophilia patients than in the general male population. As coagulation plays a role in the inflammatory pathways involved in atherogenesis, we investigated whether the clotting factor deficiency protects hemophilia patients from developing atherosclerosis.
