“…They typically develop under dim light conditions at depths ranging from 20 to 120 m, either (a) as outcrops of rocky substrates (i.e., coralligenous of the littoral rock), or (b) as banks/platforms/minute reefs (sensu Georgiadis et al, 2009) surrounded by sedimentary substrates or even sandy bottoms (Ballesteros, 2006;Georgiadis et al, 2009).
