The reaction between 2-(3,5-dimethylpyrazolylmethyl)-5-(dimethylaminomethyl)pyrrole and thiophenol under heating conditions afforded the new ligand 2-(3,5-dimethylpyrazolylmethyl)-5-(phenylthiomethyl)pyrrole 2.
