Copper‐mediated annulation of 2‐aminoacetophenones and 2‐bromopyridines

Abstract

A simple, practical method for synthesis of pyrido‐fused quinazolinones is herein developed. Reactions of 2’‐aminoacetophenones and 2‐bromopyridines proceeded in the presence of Cu(OAc)2 catalyst, NaOAc base, TEMPO co‐oxidant, and DMSO solvent. Simple functional groups were compatible with reaction conditions.
