“…Manisankar et al previously reported that PANI promotes the polymerisation process by providing electrocatalytic sites and nucleation centres leading to better modification 17. The electrochemical and electrochromic behaviour of poly[aniline‐ co ‐(4,4′‐diaminodiphenylsulfone)]18 and the chemical synthesis of copolymers of aniline and 4,4′‐diaminodiphenylsulfone (DDS) and the characterisation of the nanosize copolymers thus formed have been reported in works employing aniline and DDS 19. The encouraging results obtained from the above reported work from our laboratory motivated us to direct our focus to the synthesis, on some suitable modified surface, and characterisation of a novel copolymeric material comprising DDS and a halogen‐substituted aniline in the polymeric chain.…”

“…At room temperature the conductivity of the copolymer, poly(DPA-co-DADPS) was determined to be 2.65 × 10 −2 S cm −1 . Thus, the conductivity of the copolymer is comparable to that of PDPA (2.59 × 10 −2 S cm −1 ), but lower than that of PANI (4.28 × 10 −2 S cm −1 ) [27] and higher than that of poly(aniline-co-DADPS) (2.07 × 10 −3 S cm −1 ) [29].…”
