“…HEMA (Sigma, U.K.) was purified by repeated solvent extraction and vacuum distillation. 20 The purity was checked by gas chromatography using a 1.5 m X 3.2 mm x 2.0 mm stainless steel column packed with 7.5% w/w sucrose acetate isobutyrate on Chromosorb G100-120 mesh and was shown to be 99.9 %.
