Abundance data of copepods such as Calanoides acutus and Rhincalanus gigas were even sparser in the Southern Ocean ( Supplementary Figures 4C,D), despite of merging the Coastal and Oceanic Plankton Ecology, Production, and Observation Database 12 , the Southern Ocean Continuous Plankton Record database 13 and the database provided by Cornils et al (2018).
