Coordinated scheduling model of power system with active distribution networks based on multi-agent system

Abstract: With the large-scale development of distributed generations (DGs) and the connection into the main grid of active distribution networks (ADNs), traditional centralized dispatch of power system has encountered enormous challenge. In a bilateral electricity market, introducing ADN resources in the day-ahead generation schedule will not only enrich the dispatch patterns to the power system, but also reflect the initiative of ADNs. This paper proposes a coordinated scheduling model of power system with a plurality… Show more

“…Due to the constantly increasing penetration of renewable energy and distributed generation [102,103], the distribution system itself is undergoing rapid change. Power flow could be reversed depending on renewable power output; a fraction of demand such as EV charging becomes deferrable and more flexible; energy storage devices are deployed to facilitate system operation; above changes pave the way to the so-called active distribution network [104,105], and call for innovative ideas, technologies and initiatives to support such a transition. To our knowledge, energy storage sharing and its business model have already attracted much attention [105][106][107][108].…”

“…An extra top-level agent was presented to maximize the profit of the overall system based on the commonly used tri-level framework. For realising the market mechanism of ADN, the market operator agent was introduced to determine the market clear price and bidding process [25]. Since ADN agent took in charge of power management, the market clearing problem and coordinated dispatching problem were combined with the proposed coordinated scheduling model.…”
