Cooperativity of Silver Nanostructures upon Electric Power Generation in Triboelectric Polyimide Layers

Abstract: Triboelectric nanogenerators possessing polymeric contact electrification layers have been a state‐of‐the‐art technology for portable and wearable applications, but the intrinsic low permittivity of polymers has posed a significant charge loss, limiting the electrical outputs from the nanogenerators. The incorporation of conductive fillers into the polymer matrix represents a promising route to enhance the dielectric constant of polymers while remaining the surface properties, but the geometric influence of fi… Show more

“…Polyimide (PI) is widely used in electrical, aerospace, microelectronics, and other fields because of its excellent dielectric properties, mechanical properties, and thermal stability, and it is also a common electronegative material for triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs). Some works enhanced the triboelectric performance of the PI film by fluorination and achieved excellent results. , However, the effect of humidity on the triboelectric performance of the PI film has also not been explored. Teflon AF is an amorphous fluoropolymer with excellent optical transparency and breathability, and the low surface energy and excellent charge injection property may provide solutions to the above problem. …”
