Cooling Discontinuous Waters with a Single Refrigeration Unit

Abstract: Single refrigeration units have been used to chill water in separate tanks simultaneously by using a flow-through system between tanks. This method is satisfactory when an experiment does not require that the waters in the tanks be discontinuous. However, many aquatic behavioral experiments are replicated in separate tanks that require discontinuous waters to prevent an exchange of dissolved substances. These experiments require cooling units for each tank.
