Conviviendo con la escasez. Cultura y adaptabilidad pesquera en el lago de Chapala

Abstract: Este artículo examina las respuestas adaptativas de comunidades lacustres ante cambios ambien­tales. En particular se estudian las localidades cercanas al lago de Chapala, el cual se encuentra en riesgo por las oscilaciones en su nivel de agua. “…There are 61 fishing cooperatives and about 3,000 fishermen registered; they are distributed in about 40 villages in the lakefront municipalities of Venustiano Carranza, Cojumatlán (Michoacán), Jocotepec, Tuxcueca, Tizapán, Chapala, Jamay, Ocotlán and Poncitlán (Jalisco) (NOM 032, 015).
