Controllable Transformation of 2D Perovskite for Multifunctional Sensing Properties

Abstract: There is growing demand for convenient and cost-efficient ethanol sensing techniques in daily life and industry. However, the complexity, high cost, and large volume of the equipment hinder the widespread use of conventional ethanol sensing techniques. Here, we introduce a test paperlike visualized label-free ethanol sensing platform by taking advantage of the instability of 2D Ruddlesden–Popper perovskite in ethanol. The photoluminescence of PEA2Cs n–1Pb n Br3n+1 2D perovskite changes from deep blue to green … Show more

“…Beyond developing a cost-effective, scalable, and customizable flexible color convertor, the method proposed here is universal for other perovskites and can be applied to develop novel sensing platforms. Besides CsPbBr 3 , as described in our previous work, we also fabricate blue fluorescent PQD-paper based on PEA 2 Cs n ‑1 Pb n Br 3 n +1 2D perovskite. Due to the ethanol sensitivity of the 2D perovskite, this PQD paper can be used as a convenient ethanol test paper.…”
