Controllable Synthesis of Birnessite-Based Manganese Oxide Nanostructures

Abstract: Layered manganese oxide nanostructures were synthesized by a facile hydrothermal method, using KMnO4 and CH3CH2OH as the precursors. The structure, composition and morphology of the product are evaluated by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Infrared (IR) techniques.
