Control of Wind Conversion System Used in Autonomous System

Abstract: The topology based on permanent magnet generator (PMSG) and diode bridge rectifier is frequently used in small wind energy conversion system since it is robust and easy to control. This paper presents a robust control for the wind conversion system based on PMSG and boost DC/DC converter in the aim to maintain the generator rectified voltage at a reference voltage corresponding to the reference power imposed by the supervisory module. The reference power control is guaranteed without measuring the wind speed. … Show more

“…This method is based on solving the linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which gives us an excellent stability during the controller design. The T‐S approach has been investigated in the control of the WCS as in previous works 24,25 . These papers have highlighted the advantage of the LMI, which still needs the operational states of the WCS at MPP.…”

“…A robust control for the wind conversion system based on PMSG and DC / DC boost converter with the aim of maintaining the voltage of the rectified generator at a reference voltage corresponding to the reference power set by the supervisor module. Reference power control is guaranteed without measuring wind speed [22]. Modeling of a three-phase induction generator driven by a horizontal axis wind turbine is described.…”
