Control of Soliton-trapping induced Timing Jitters by Polarization Modulation

Abstract: We propose a new method, using periodical polarization modulation scheme to suppress soliton timing jitters. In periodical polarization modulation scheme, two polarization states of the soliton are modulated to excite equally for suppressing timing jitters induced by the pulsetrapping of two unequal polarization components of the soliton.
