Membrane-based systems (MBR) used in wastewater treatment have many advantages over conventional activated sludge processes. They have proven to be very effective in removing organic and inorganic contaminants as well as biological entities from water. The objective of this work is to propose an optimal operation of the bioreactor after having detailed in the relationships between the nature of the sludge, its conditions is obtaining the performance of the membrane using a simulation software (GPS-X). The effects of organic and hydraulic shock loads on the MBR system were also studied. The GPS-X simulation program was used in this study to simulate the membrane bioreactor setup. The BOD removal system we used was 78%. In addition, the MBR system has a significant capacity due to the hydraulic shock load of the operation and the process efficiency for the MBR installation due to this shock load based on BOD removal was reduced up to 65%. The MBR system has a good ability to handle the organic shock loads of the operation with no significant loss in treatment efficiency. The treatment efficiency of the MBR system, due to organic shock loads based on BOD removal, decreased slightly to 80%, however, it is shown how their properties determine the extent of sludge fouling in the membrane. Based on these results, operational conditions favoring a reduction of fouling are proposed.

<p>In a world where climate change looms large the spotlight often shines on greenhouse gases, but the shadow of man-made aerosols should not be underestimated. These tiny particles play a pivotal role in disrupting Earth's radiative equilibrium, yet many mysteries surround their influence on various physical aspects of our planet. The root of these mysteries lies in the limited data we have on aerosol sources, formation processes, conversion dynamics, and collection methods. Aerosols, composed of particulate matter (PM), sulfates, and nitrates, hold significant sway across the hemisphere. Accurate measurement demands the refinement of in-situ, satellite, and ground-based techniques. As aerosols interact intricately with the environment, their full impact remains an enigma. Enter a groundbreaking study in Morocco that dared to compare an internet of thing (IoT) system with satellite-based atmospheric models, with a focus on fine particles below 10 and 2.5 micrometers in diameter. The initial results, particularly in regions abundant with extraction pits, shed light on the IoT system's potential to decode aerosols' role in the grand narrative of climate change. These findings inspire hope as we confront the formidable global challenge of climate change.</p>

The objective of the present work is to monitor and control the physicochemical quality of the osmosis water that feeds the dairy industry in our case the power plant, specifically in terms of energy services. The three energy installations fed by reverse osmosis water are the boiler room, the cold room and the compressed air. These facilities respectively allow the production of steam, the absorption of heat from water through ammonia and the production of compressed air. During a period of 30 days, we monitored the pH, conductivity, alkalinity, hydrometric title, and chlorine content on water samples at the feed tank, boiler, and condenser. The results of the majority of the experimental analyzes comply with the standards imposed except for a few days.
