Abstract:We report on the properties of a non-conventional stochastic photonic source. We first describe the principle of nonlinear intensity filtering by using a modified Mach-Zehnder interferometer. The latter alters the characteristics of an input stochastic source based on Bose-Einstein emission. Computed output intensity fluctuations are compared to an analytical model. Adjusting the interferometer parameters, we show theoretically and numerically that the statistical properties of light such as its probability de… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
