Control of electrical alternans in simulations of paced myocardium using extended time-delay autosynchronization

Abstract: Experimental studies have linked alternans, an abnormal beat-to-beat alternation of cardiac action potential duration (APD), to the genesis of lethal arrhythmias such as ventricular fibrillation.
