“…Recendy, however, promising eontrol of barley grass has been obtained with paraquat (Thompson, 1962;Squires, 1963) which has been reported also to eliminate Poa trivialis L. from lucerne stands (Jones, 1962a). The ability to suppress grass, together with absence of residual activity (Cronshey, 1961;Jones, 1962) suggest paraquat as an alternative to daiapon on southern Australian pastures.…”
