Control and automation of Asynchronous motor using Fuzzy logic

Abstract: In this paper, we present the design of an intelligent approach based on adaptive fuzzy logic applied to the speed controller for a three-phase asynchronous motor. In this way, the main objective of applying the technique of fuzzy logic for the control of the speed of rotation with the variation of the resistance of the rotor, also to obtain a variable of high performance of the speed drive system and the stability of the electromechanical system in the region at high and low speed.

“…The result obtained from fuzzy reasoning is a fuzzy quantity; however, the actual actuator needs specific numerical values to operate. Therefore, the fuzzy quantity needs to be converted into an exact quantity, and this conversion process adopts the center of gravity method to complete the defuzzification processing [26]. The specific mathematical expressions are as follows:…”

“…PMSM supply a nonlinear load from the rectifier installed on the output of the conversion chain via a controlled power inverter. To see the influence of the FLC regulator on the quality of the filtering we have use a 3x3rules fuzzy regulator implanted in the control part of the APF [1,2,7], where the membership functions of the input and the output Figure.2 present an overall scheme which describe the various essential parts dedicated to the conversion of the wind power into electrical energy based on permanent magnet synchronous machine mechanically coupled with a wind turbine via a reduction gearbox, the latter is driven by a wind profile that will be modeled and simuled under Matlab Simulink Software.…”

“…It is here that the main advantage of fuzzy logic regulation resides, in fact this type of technique does not need to establish any model of the system [1][2][3]. A direct application to the APF capacitor voltage regulation [4,5,6,7] with their simulation, by MATLAB, applied to wind power conversion chain network [8,9] is represented in the case of a non-linear variable load conditions [6], after modeling, to show the effectiveness of this kind of regulators on electrical power quality and improve the reliability of the APF on wind power system harmonic reducing.…”

“…So this difficulty increases the total active and reac-tive losses, and consequently the voltage drops in the substations which obliges the electricity distribution companies to increase the regulation range of the autotrans-formers and use a many primary sources to produce electricity, that is to say an increase in the costs of managing electrical energy. Mohammed Bouzidi et al [10], present the design of an intelligent approach based on adaptive fuzzy logic applied to the speed controller for a three-phase asynchronous motor. The results show, for the fuzzy controller of RLF5 excellentesperformances, with a very good track beyond reference speed.…”
